Roundhay School, One of the First All-Through Schools in the Region, Celebrate Investors in People Success
Roundhay School, one of the first all-through providers of education from 4-18 in the region, is celebrating after being awarded Investors in People Gold!
Based in North Leeds, the all-through school was also recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ by OfSTED. After over 50 years as a provider of comprehensive Secondary and Post-16 education, the school opened a brand new, state of the art Primary Campus to its first cohort of reception aged children in 2012, bringing together almost 250 Secondary and Primary teaching and associate staff.
Gaining its most impressive set of GCSE and A Level results in 2013 and undergoing huge change to become an all-through provider of education, the team are delighted to have achieved Investors in People Gold.
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said:
“We’d like to congratulate Roundhay School on their Gold standard. Such a high level of accreditation is the sign of great people management practice and demonstrates a commitment to staff development and shows an organisation committed to being the very best it can be. Roundhay School should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England said:
“This is a fantastic achievement for Roundhay School and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that good people make a great business and as a proven organisational development framework, Investors in People is designed to help organisations and their people to realise potential, enhance performance and meet goals. With their Gold accreditation, Roundhay School is certainly working to realise their people potential.”
Commenting on the award, Headteacher Neil Clephan, said:
“I could not be more proud of the teaching and associate staff here at Roundhay and our success can be credited to the team work and the drive that everyone should ‘be the best they can be’.
“Having gained an ‘outstanding’ judgement from Ofsted in November, following a robust and challenging framework, this has been a very busy year but all staff have, as they always do, risen to the challenge. As noted in the Investors in People report, ‘we’re all one team’ and the staff here strongly believe that if they are going to work in the current education landscape, there isn’t a better place to be.”
Congratulations to all the team!
