Preston-based property, construction and civil engineering company, The Eric Wright Group, has achieved Investors In People (IIP) ‘Gold’ accreditation, the highest possible level for the nationally recognised best practice standard.
The company is one of only 7% of UK organisations to have attained the prestigious accreditation, which builds on the ‘Silver’ award it achieved three years ago.
Sandra Cadman, Human Resources Manager from the Eric Wright Group, explains: “An organisation has to meet 39 evidence requirements to achieve standard IIP accreditation and we achieved that 14 years ago.
“The ‘Bronze’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Gold’ awards are for companies that want to go the extra mile and put good people management practice at the heart of their business.
“The ‘Gold’ level is awarded to organisations that achieve at least 165 of 196 evidence requirements and we met 192 of them so we’re enormously proud of our team and delighted by our achievement.”
The Eric Wright Group achieved the ‘Gold’ standard following a full assessment and the IIP assessor highlighted a number of areas of excellence within the business, including strong values, an exceptional approach to building relationships, innovative learning and development practices, a sensitive approach to work-life balance and a continuous improvement culture.
The IIP Specialist commented: “On behalf of Investors in People North of England, I would like to congratulate The Eric Wright Group on this achievement. It was a great pleasure to undertake the review. The discussions were interesting and members of the team gave me a very clear picture of their work, successes and their aspirations for the future.”
Sandra added: “The assessor recognised our investment in technologies and people and the work we have done to ensure that Eric Wright is an excellent employer.
